Dillon Brooks plans to apologize to camera person he injured: All you need to know

During a recent matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat, Dillon Brooks accidentally hurt a cameraman when he tried to save the ball mid-game.

Brooks received a lot of heat after the incident, especially as he didn’t initially apologize to the injured man. However, the Grizzlies forward clarified that he would sort things out with the cameraman.

Sources report that Dillon Brooks plans on personally calling the cameraman he accidentally pushed over during a play on Wednesday night. He even said that the altercation was unintentional and that he wasn’t the type to hurt an innocent bystander. Brooks said:

“I’m going to reach out to him. It was unintentional. I was running at full speed. I didn’t mean to hurt him in any way possible. I’m not that type of person.”

The Memphis Grizzlies faced the Miami Heat in a 138-119 defeat on Wednesday night. The most notable moment of the game was when Dillon Brooks accidentally shoved a cameraman, injuring him in the process. Brooks claims that it was an accident and didn’t mean to hurt the guy, however, fans and the league beg to differ.

The incident happened in the 2nd quarter with 2:42 left on the clock. John Konchar tried to save the ball from going out of bounds and carelessly threw it towards the sideline.

Brooks saw that the ball was about to go out of bounds again and attempted to save it again. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies forward wasn’t able to save the ball and ended up colliding with a cameraman who was in the way.

One of the reasons people assumed it was intentional was because Brooks shoved the guy down to the floor. To add insult to injury, he didn’t even bother to help the man stand up or at least apologize for what happened.

Dillon walked away from the situation, making it seem like he did it on purpose. As a result, he was fined $35,000 for unsportsmanlike behavior.
